Conference scope for MSS.16
MSS addresses fundamental physics of low-dimensional systems but puts emphasis on synthesis, processing, and applications of modulated materials as well as novel systems, the broader range of hybrid, organic, spintronic, and biologically based modulated structures.Topics for MSS will include:
- M1. Semiconductor heterostructures and superlattices
- M2. Electronic and optical properties of quantum dots and nanowires
- M3. Physics of exciton-polaritons and nanophotonic structures
- M4. Spintronics and spin phenomena in nanostructures
- M5. Physics and devices for quantum information processing
- M6. Advances in growth, processing, and probing of modulated structures
- M7. Novel modulated and hybrid structures, including NEMS, organic semiconductors, carbon nanotubes, molecular and bio-based structures
